- 1/2 cup corn meal
- 1/2 cup flour (whole wheat or white, your choice. I use whole wheat.)
- 4 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 cup milk or water (I only use milk if it’s fresh and additive-free.)
- 1/4 cup olive oil or vegetable oil
- 1 egg, slightly beaten
Preheat oven to 425 degrees F. Combine all ingredients in large bowl and mix until smooth. Grease pie pan and pour evenly into pan and bake for 18-22 minutes. Stick the knife into the middle of the bread. If it comes out clean, it’s done. If not, bake for 5 more minutes until done. Let cool overnight. The next morning, crumble and let the chickens enjoy.
