Last issue, we asked you to share some of your favorite, most amazing, most beautiful photos of your flock with us on Facebook. We understand that trying to capture a photo of a living chicken is like trying to nail Jell-O to a wall. So, we were impressed when the photos posted were truly remarkable! And some downright adorable. Definitely worth a featured spot in our issue!

Add yours to our gallery! – Click here.

We’ll let the photos do the talking. Here are some of our favorites, in no particular order:

Photo by: Sarah Buhr – “We call her Lady Gaga.”

Photo by: Trish Messer – “This is Sasha, Maude (we thought he was a hen at first!), Rose and Roxie.”

Photo by: Roni Hovey – “Just moved to the country from Houston and started raising chicks. Here is one of our “mutt” silkies. He is one of the best bug catchers in a group of 25 mixed breed chickens.”

Photo by: Peter Ackerson – “Silkies are now 9 days old and wings are coming in.”

Photo by: Mary Krugh Hussey – “Millie, a Jersey Giant Hen.”

Photo by: Mary Krugh Hussey – “Daphne, a Speckled Sussex hen.”

Photo by: Jenna Nelson – “3rd hatch in 2011. 12 ducklings, making the tally 40 since March 1, 2011! I love babies!”

And finally, how could we NOT include these?

Photo by: Peter Ackerson – “Our babies dancing when we flashed the camera. LOL!!”

Photo by: Mary Ann Taylor Nickerson – “This is one of my new Araucana pullets. Isn’t she cute. =0)”

Wish we could share ’em all, they’re amazing – but that’s what Facebook is for! Get sharing! Get posting!
