Two weeks old and the fuzzy, sweet baby chicks are growing feathers. They have lovely wing feathers now and the neatest, perkiest tail feathers. I already miss the “baby days.”
I’m very sure that one of the reasons these birds are growing so rapidly is directly related to the amount of feed they consume. When they first arrived, some of a single cup of feed was left at the end of the day. Today, I fill the feeder morning and evening. I’ve already made a trip back to the feed store for rations.
